Vulnerability Assessment Services
You can’t protect what you can’t see. Intrix’s vulnerability assessment services systematically identify,
classify, and prioritise security vulnerabilities across your entire IT environment, giving you a clear picture of your risk posture and a roadmap to reduce it.
What Is a Vulnerability Assessment?
A vulnerability assessment is a systematic process of identifying, classifying, and prioritising security vulnerabilities across your IT infrastructure. Unlike penetration testing which focuses on exploitation,
vulnerability assessments provide a broad view of your security weaknesses with risk-rated findings and remediation priorities. Think of it as a comprehensive health check for your IT environment, identifying every potential weakness so you can fix the most critical issues first.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between a vulnerability scan and a vulnerability assessment?
A vulnerability scan is an automated tool run that lists detected weaknesses, typically scored using CVSS. A vulnerability assessment goes further, adding manual validation to remove false positives, business context to each finding, and a prioritised remediation plan, turning a raw scan output into an actionable report.
How much does a vulnerability assessment cost?
Vulnerability assessment pricing depends on the scope, number of assets, environment complexity and how often you need it run. A one-off scan is more affordable than an ongoing program, though regular assessments typically work out cheaper per scan over a contract. Contact us for a tailored quote based on your environment.
How often should we run vulnerability assessments?
Most organisations should run vulnerability assessments monthly or quarterly for internal infrastructure, plus after any significant change such as new systems, patches or cloud deployments. Many compliance frameworks, including PCI DSS, also require at least quarterly assessments as a minimum.
Will vulnerability scanning disrupt our systems?
Standard vulnerability scans are non-intrusive and designed to run safely against production systems without causing outages. Where more invasive checks are needed, such as authenticated scans on sensitive systems, we schedule these during agreed maintenance windows and coordinate with your team in advance, so disruption risk stays minimal throughout.
What tools do you use?
We use a combination of industry-leading vulnerability scanning and security assessment tools along with manual verification techniques. This approach helps ensure accurate results and reduces false positives while providing deeper insights into potential security risks.
